The 522 refers to the fact that this rum has five flavors and spices, has been only distilled twice to leave molasses flavor in the spirit and has been double aged using two different methods (barrel aged and infusion aged). We designed this product to be much higher quality then the mass produced industrial rums yet at a price point far lower then expensive Caribbean options. In our customer taste tests customer are unanimous that this is much better than the industrial spiced rums and at a value price point.
